Raza Rabbani protests delay in missing persons report

ISLAMABAD: PPP veteran Senator Raza Rabbani on Friday staged a walkout from the upper house of the parliament to protest a lackluster attitude by the Senate Secretariat in producing a report regarding missing persons.

Mr Rabbani, who heads a Parliamentary Committee on National Security, said he was assured that the concerned committee would produce the report on Friday (today) but it was not presented.

He accused the Senate Secretariat of creating hurdles in producing the report. Expressing solidarity with the PPP leader, PML-N lawmaker Senator Ishaq Dar also staged a walkout.
