Pagara calls for restoration of Bahawalpur province

KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) Chief Pir Pagara said on Sunday there was no need to create new province and the government should only issue a notification to restore Bahawalpur province.

Talking to media, he said the government didn’t pay heed to the issue of new provinces during the last four years.

He also called for removal of all the provincial governors, adding that all the governors were political personalities.

The PML-F chief said his party would enter an alliance with like-minded parties for general election.

He said he would welcome Nawaz Sharif if he approached him. Answering a question, he said the government was going to hold talks with the Taliban. He added that the initiative should have been taken earlier.
