ISLAMABAD: Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran Chief Tahirul Qadri said that dual-nationality was not a crime in Pakistan nor was it prohibited in the constitution.
Speaking to the media outside the Supreme Court after the hearing of his petition seeking the reconstitution of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Qadri said he would accept whatever decision was given by the court.
According to Qadri, during proceedings the Chief Justice said that his (Qadri’s) petition had already been accepted for hearing and notices had been issued to parties in the case.
In reply to a question the Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran chief said that it was the right of the Supreme Court to raise questions about dual nationality.
