LAHORE: Federal Minister for Information, Qamar Zaman Kaira Saturday said the nomination of the interim prime minister would be done in consultation with Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran leader Tahirul Qadri.
"It has been agreed that the period of electoral candidates' scrutiny be increased from 7 to 14 days," Kaira said while talking to media men after the government team led by Pakistan Muslim League-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain held a meeting with Tahirul Qadri here.
Commenting on Pakistan Muslim's League-N's getting Pakistan People's Party members into the former's fold, Kaira said in a lighter mood: "The Muslim League-N made a big achievement by getting PPP members into its fold. We will appeal to the President to announce medals for Chaudhry Nisar and Shahbaz Sharif."
Dr Tahirul Qadri on the occasion said the government fulfilled its part of the agreement by adopting hi stance. "A wrong impression was created in the Supreme Court," he added.
He said he wanted to dispel the perception that he was here to delay or derail the electoral process.
