Quetta incident triggers tension in parts of Pakistan

KARACHI: Shia Ulema Council staged a sit-in at Malir-15 to mark their protest against the brutal killings of dozens of Hazaras in Quetta bomb blast earlier today while Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen announced a 10-day mourning and a day of protest on Sunday.

Shops and businesses were closed following tension in Ancholi, Rizvia, Malir and some other parts of the city.

In Latifabad and Qasimabad areas of Hyderabad, irate people fired gunshots in the air and forced the shops and businesses to pull their shutters.

Members of Shia Ulema Council staged a sit-down at Hyderabad bypass to protest against the Quetta tragedy.

Meanwhile, according to police, three people sustained injuries by unknown assailants' firing near Two-Minute Chorangi in North Nazimabad area.

At Sohrab Goth area, miscreants set a passenger bus on fire.
