LAHORE: A foggy whiteout has once again led to the closure of the Motorway (M2) form Lahore to Sheikhupura Interchange, Geo News reported.
According to sources, visibility tests showed it was virtually impossible for the motorists to drive on any lane of M2.
“The Motorway police have closed the road as driving conditions are blindingly dangerous”, a policeman told Geo News.
Moreover, the traffic coming down from Islamabad was diverted towards GT Road via Pindi Bhattian Interchange with strict instructions to drive in convoys.
The police have strictly advised motorists to switch on fog-lights while driving, travel in convoys or avoid traveling if possible, as part of safety measures as long as the fog ruled supreme.
