ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has granted approval to amendments in nomination papers.
An important meeting of the ECP was held under the chair of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Fakhruddin G Ibrahim
The new nomination papers would be consisted of six pages. The electoral candidates would have to submit details of their assets, utility bills and tax returns.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) would carry out scrutiny of the candidates.
Sources said that ECP has removed voters’ lists of 2002 and 2008 by keeping one copy of each only for the record and forthcoming elections would be held under fresh voter lists.
