ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani met on Tuesday to discuss the Quetta tragedy and the security situation in Balochistan.
Law Minister Farooq Naek was summoned to the meeting and gave a briefing on constitutional points related to the security situation in Balochistan.
Speaking to Geo News correspondent Azaz Syed, Naek said along with the security situation in Balochistan, the restoration of the democratic setup was also discussed in the meeting. “We want the democratic process to continue and a decision regarding its restoration in the province would be announced soon.”
Naek further added that the President, Prime Minister and Army Chief were in agreement about elections being held on time.
