Altaf Hussain denounces decision to end Quetta sit-in

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has criticized Shia elders’ decision to call off protest sit-in against Quetta bombing, branding it a one-sided move.

Addressing party’s coordination committee, Mr Hussain said that the decision to end sit-in was taken despite demands of the protesting Hazara community not being met by the government, which he said disappointed people belonging to Shia community.

He said that some elements were doing politics over the bodies of Quetta blast victims. The MQM chief also questioned country’s security apparatus as to how long bloodshed would continue.
