ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader and Senator Raza Rabbani said the incident of Quetta tragedy was made to coincide with the signing of agreement to hand over Gwadar Port's administrative control to China in a bid to trigger a clash of institutions leading to a rollback of the existing system.
Speaking in the Senate, Senator Rabbani asked: "Which Western forces do you think are against China's having administrative control of the Gwadar Port?"
He said attempts were made to pit institutions against one another with an objective to cause derailment of the existing system.
Raza Rabbani regretted that although the Parliament had pointed to the present security threats, the security apparatus failed to take appropriate action.
