KARACHI: A C-130 military aircraft shifted over 30 injured of Quetta’s Saturday blast to Karachi for treatment, Geo News reported.
According to reports, a woman identified as Gul Afshan succumbed to her wounds upon her arrival in Karachi.
The injured those shifted to Karachi also included eight children and nine women.
Relatives of the critically injured patients were also on board the plane. The injured were admitted to a private hospital located near the National Stadium.
At least 89 people were killed and over 100 injured on Saturday as a deadly blast hit Quetta’s Hazara Town.
Nationwide protests against continuing persecution of the Hazaras paralyzed routine life as the families of the blast victims refused to bury their loved ones until the Quetta city was handed over to army.
However, a parliamentary delegation persuaded the community’s elders to bury the bodies and assured them that action would be taken against the perpetrators of the attack.
