Strategy for Taliban talks to be finalized in Feb 28 APC: Fazl

PESHAWAR: Amir Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman Thursday said a delegation of tribal elders will have a meeting with the national leadership during the All Parties Conference scheduled to be held on February 28.

Talking to media men after attending a Grand Tribal Jirga here, Fazl said during the upcoming APC strategy will be chalked out for talks between Taliban and Government/military via the Tribal elders as its intermediary.

He said that his party wants the Tribal elders themselves to engage in talks with the Taliban because the tribesmen know their traditions better.

Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman expressed his lack of knowledge in connection with 'Punjabi Taliban'.

He said Haji Qadri Khan has been made the head of Tribal elders' delegation.
