Tahriul Qadri to travel to Canada for medical checkup

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahiurl Qadri has announced that he would be travelling to Canada on the 27 or 28 of this month for a medical checkup.

Addressing a news conference, Qadri said he would be returning to Pakistan on March 10 as his checkup would be completed within one week.

The PAT chief added that the party had formed a parliamentary board and a decision to contest the general elections would be made on March 16.

He further said that his reservations regarding the formation of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had not been addressed. According to Qadri despite his reservations not being addressed, he would support any steps to ensure free and fair elections.
