QUETTA: The Chief Justice Balochistan High Court has stepped in on the provincial Prosecutor General’s disappearance suo moto, Geo News reported.
Notices have been issued to Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Federal Interior Ministry, and Commissioner Zhob in this regard.
The Chief Justice took suo moto action on the request of Additional Prosecutor General Balochistan.
Earlier it was reported that the Prosecutor General Balochitan, Wasay Tarin, had gone missing en route to Islamabad from Quetta via Zhob.
Sources quoted his brother, Sajid Tarin, as saying the family has lost touch with Tarin since he left for the federal capital.
“We have grown concerned as neither he (Wasay) nor his family has been able to contact each other for the last more than twenty-four hours”, said he.
He said the last time Wasay talked to his son was on Wednesday evening.
“Since then both Wasay and his driver’s mobile phones are switched off”, said Sajid Tarin.
