KARACHI: an application seeking contempt of court proceeding against Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has been filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Geo News reported.
Applicant Syed Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi submitted that conduct of superior judiciary could not be debated in the assembly, adding that the chief minister said during the Sindh Assembly session that the court was predetermined in passing the judgment in Abbas Town suo moto case as he was not heard by the bench.
He said the Anwar Mansoor had appeared before the apex court to represent the Sindh government
The applicant prayed the court to initiate contempt of court proceedings and treason under article 6 of the Constitution and declared him disqualified from taking charge of any government office.
