COAS visits Okara Garrison
RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani visited Okara Garrison on Friday and reviewed the parade to mark the 250th Raising Day of 1st Punjab Regiment, the oldest unit of Pakistan Army.

Speaking on the occasion, General Kayani appreciated the standard of parade and the dedication of all ranks involved.

He said that Pak Army owes its high standing to the professionalism, loyalty, discipline and patriotism of its officers and soldiers.

The army chief said that such high standards are not achieved overnight, unless all ranks of the Army are committed to maintain the traditions of excellence in service.

Later COAS was briefed about the operational, training and administrative aspects at the Division Headquarters.

Earlier, on arrival, Chief of Army Staff was received by Lieutenant General Abid Pervaiz, Commander Multan Corps and Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Commander Bahawalpur Corps.
