KARACHI: Sindh Local Bodies Minister Agha Siraj Durrani Monday tortured a secretary of his ministry Shaukat Jhokio for allegedly refusing to sign a list of appointments.
A case has been registered against Agha Siraj Durrani and Zulfiqar Dehar among 11 people on the complaint of Shaukat Jhokio, whereas, a case against the victim was also registered on the complaint of the section officer in Aram Bagh police station.
According to the police, the case against Jhokio was registered for allegedly intervening in the government affairs.
On the other hand Shaukat Jhokio along with medico-legal reports reached the police station to have the case registered against the minister. The case against Durrani was registered under torture among various other clauses.
Talking to media, Shaukat Jhokio claimed that the local bodies minister came to his office and asked him to sign a document carrying appointment list and on refusal he started beating him.
