KARACHI: Former president General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf has filed an interim bail plea, two days ahead of embarking on his journey back to Pakistan, Geo News reported Thursday.
Pervez Musharraf had announced earlier this month that he would return to Pakistan on March 24.
According to sources, Aila Raza, daughter of Pervez Musharraf, filed the interim bail plea on behalf of the former president who had remained on a self-imposed exile during the previous years and is presently in Dubai.
Three different petitions relating to Benazir assassination case, Akbar Bugti murder case and judges case have landed in Sindh Registrar’s office.
The former president has appointed Barrister Salman Safdar and AQ Halipota as his counsels.
