Police swoop down on criminals in Lyari

KARACHI: Heavy contingent of police entered parts of Lyari in a late night move against the criminal elements in the restive neighborhood, Geo News reported.

The police entered Lyari through Gul Muhammad Lane, Nayaabad and Lee Market.

They said that eight people had been arrested and weapons were also recovered from their possession in a raid conducted at Afshani Gali.

According to Geo News, the Pakistan Rangers were not present during the police action.

The police said they conducted a raid at the Dadal House, arresting Uzair Kamran aka Kami, a close relative of Rehman Baloch.
