CEC Fakhruddin meets interim Balochistan CM

ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim met interim Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Barozai and agreed to ensure conducive environment for holding transparent elections.

During the meeting, Barozai assured the CEC that the government machinery would remain impartial during the forthcoming general elections, and political leaders and candidates would be provided full security.

The interim CM informed Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim that he would hold meeting with Balochistan National Party (BNP) Chief Akhtar Mengal in Karachi on Thursday to discuss his (Mengal’s) reservations about the elections.

He told the chief election commissioner that he would also meet leaders of all nationalist parties.

Meanwhile, Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim said that he would also hold talks with heads of all political parties during his ongoing visit to Balochistan.
