Police said JI leader Bilal Qudrat Butt was visiting voters after Friday prayers in Qila Deedar Singh when armed men opened fire and injured him seriously. His friend also received bullet wounds.
Bilal Qudrat was rushed to DHQ Hospital where his condition is said to be stable after operation.
