President Zardari approves appellate tribunal

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the appellate tribunal for the hearing of appeals relating to the acceptance or rejection of the electoral nomination papers.

Presidency spokesman, Farhatullah Babar said that President Asif Ali Zardari has given approval of the appellate tribunal on the advice of the prime minister. The members of the appellate tribunal would be hearing the appeals relating to the acceptance or rejection of the electoral nomination papers.

Farhatullah Babar said that the deadline for filing appeals relating to the electoral nomination papers has been set at April 9 and the appellate tribunal would finalize giving its decisions on the appeals by April 16.
