Boy burnt to death in Ghotki

GHOTKI: In yet another act of barbarism a young man was burnt alive in Khanpur Mehr area of Ghotki, Geo News reported Saturday.

According to reports, two accused identified as Sunil aka Bakar and Kirshan kidnapped a woman and raped her. The accused kept threatening the family of the woman to withdraw a case registered against them in Khanpur Mehr Police Station.

The family refused to budge and insisted action against the accused. On Saturday, the accused abducted Gayan, 16, a nephew of the women and took him to Gabol area of the district where they doused the boy in petrol and set fire to him.

According to reports, the boy received third degree burns over 80 percent of his body and succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.

Police have arrested the accused and started investigation to the rape and killing of the boy.

According to a Geo News report, President Asif Ali Zardari has taken notice of the brutal incident from the authorities concerned.
