Four held in Ghotki for burning youth to death

GHOTKI: Police have arrested four people for allegedly burning a boy to death after President Asif Ali Zardari took notice of the horrific incident, Geo News reported Sunday.

According to reports, two accused identified as Sunil aka Bakar and Kirshan kidnapped a woman and raped her few days ago.

The accused kept threatening the family of the woman to withdraw a case registered against them in Khanpur Mehr Police Station in Ghotki.

The family refused to budge and insisted action against the accused. On Saturday, the accused along with four other accomplices abducted Gayan, 16, a nephew of the women and took him to Gabol area of the district where they doused the boy in petrol and set fire to him.

The boy received serious burn injuries and died at a local hospital.
