2 killed as police van ambushed in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: At least two persons were killed and four others sustained injuries as unknown armed people opened fire on police mobile van near a court in Gujranwala District.

According to police, the incident took place nearby district court in Gujranwala when unknown people open fire on prisoner police mobile van while coming to the court for proceeding the murder case.

A policeman and a prisoner were killed on the spot as some unknown armed people open fire on the security vehicle as a result of which four including policemen were injured. After firing, unknown assailants fled from the scene.

The rescue and police teams rushed to the scene to shift the injured people to district hospital for treatment.
