LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain telephoned President Asif Ali Zardrai and apprised him of acts of terrorism, especially killing of MQM workers, Geo News reported.
Informing the president about the killing of MQM joint in-charge Muhammad Faisal in Mehmoodabad, Mr Hussain said that his party was showing restraint in the interest of the country and the democracy despite provocations.
President Asif Ali Zardari expressed grief over the killing of MQM workers and applauded the party for showing restraint.
He said that Pakistan People’s Party had also been facing terrorism and its office was also attacked in Punjab on Thursday. However, the president said that the PPP would face all the odds along with its partners like it did in the past.
