QUETTA: Stressing that the law of the land should be equal for all, President Pakistan Muslim Leage-Nawaz (PML-N), Mian Nawaz Sharif Friday said the administration had in fact bemocked the judiciary by delaying Musharraf’s arrest, Geo News reported.
He said this while talking to media persons at Quetta Airport after visiting Khuzdar to condole the deaths of PML-N Balochistan chief Sanaullah Zehri’s family members who were killed in a bomb attack a couple of days earlier.
PML-N chief gave a broadside to the administration for treating the former president Pervez Musharraf as if he was "above the law."
"Under the law and constitution of the country every citizen have equal rights and shall be treated equally irrespective of their stature", said he.
To a question, he said that PML-N had always been concerned over the law and order situation and other issues in Balochistan and it had raised voice at all forums against it.
"It is the prime responsibility of the administration and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to foil the bids to sabotage electioneering in Balochistan", said PML-N leader.
Nawaz stressed and added that only democratically elected government could bring amicable solution to the issue of Balochistan which needs immediate attention.
As elections were approaching, responsibility of LEAs and administration has increased manifold to ensure peaceful and conducive environment, Sharif said.
Hailing the electoral process he said only elections and strong elected democratic government could steer Pakistan as well as Balochistan out of all crises.
