ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday held Inspector General Police (IGP) Islamabad Bin Yamin responsible in former president Gen. (retd) Pervez Musharraf fleeing case, Geo News reported.
Single-member IHC bench comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui was hearing Musharraf fleeing case here on Friday.
During the hearing, the court ordered Home Secretary for taking action against police officers responsible in this case.
Justice Shaukat Aziz reprimanded IG and said police helped Musharraf to escape from the court and IG is responsible for negligence, therefore, why not he be suspended.
The police chief informed the court that he went Supreme Court for attending a meeting related to International Judicial conference, however, officials including SSP were present in IHC.
The IG said Pervez Musharraf has now been arrested on court order.
