QUETTA: A blast occurred near a private hospital in Satellite Town in Quetta early Wednesday morning where thirteen persons including two children sustained injuries, Geo News reported.
According to rescue sources, thirteen persons including two children were injured when a blast occurred infront of a private hospital situated in Satellite Town today morning.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot and kicked off efforts to shit the injured to the hospital.
DIG Operation Fayyaz Sumbal told that the bomb was fixed in a bicycle and was remotely controlled. The bicycle was parked in front of a private hospital, close to the mosque in the Satellite Town area of Quetta.
Fayaz Sumbal said the target of the attack was not yet clear as the injured were mainly bystanders.
There was also no immediate claim of responsibility.
The bomb disposal squad told that approximately 2.5 kilograms of explosives were used in the blast.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and started investigation.
It is pertinent to mention that at least six people were killed and 40 sustained injuries after four successive blasts rocked the provincial capital within a short span of time on Tuesday evening.
Sources told that at least 80 - 100 kilograms of explosives were used in the blasts.
