BB murder case: FIA to seek physical remand of Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has decided to seek physical remand of former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf in Benazir Bhutto murder case, sources said.

According to the sources, the decision was taken in a high-level meeting of the FIA, led by Additional IG of the agency Khalid Qureshi.

The formal application to seek physical remand of Musharraf would be submitted before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) today (Thursday), it said.

The sources said that the meeting reviewed investigation in the Benazir Bhutto murder case, the sources said, adding that the joint investigation team has completed the initial process.

The meeting also decided to provide security to public prosecutor Chaudhry Zulfiqar, it added.
