HAVELIAN: Addressing his constituents here on Sunday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML) leader, Mian Nawaz Sharif said the last 14 years was a wasteful time for the country, Geo News reported.
“A dictator (Gen (Retd) Pervez Musharraf) ruled Pakistan for nine years and President Asif Ali Zardari five years but to no avail. The line of poverty was drawn over more and more people in the last 14 years”, Nawaz Sharif said.
No government, which is confined to the extravagant offices complexes, could resolve the challenges facing Pakistan, adding in order to give some a shoulder to cry on, it was imperative for the rulers to reach out to the masses at large. There’s no way around it, he added further.
“When in power, I will not retreat to Islamabad. You will always see me among the people addressing their grievances. I will be there as that the way it should be”, said he.
Nawaz said PML-N was never allowed to complete a term but we braved those so blows without backing out.
“On one occasion a president and on another a dictator bulldozing our mandate cut our tenure short. Pakistan suffered irreparable damages at the hands of those “government breakers”, said Nawaz.
