ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday called for report from interior ministry about action taken against the Islamabad IG by May 6, while the court expressed its displeasure on the absence of additional secretary interior, Geo News reported.
IHC Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui was hearing Musharraf escape case here.
The court annoyed over additional secretary interior not being present ordered for his immediate presence.
On this occasion, Deputy Attorney General told the court that a proposal for constituting three-member panel for investigation against Islamabad IG Bani Amin has been sent to the establishment division. The panel comprises of senior bureaucrat Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Shahid Rashid and Shahidullah Beg, he said.
Dy. AG further told the court that another three-member panel for the posting of new IG during investigation of Bani Amin has also been sent to establishment division.
By this time additional secretary interior has also arrived and, thereafter, the court ordering for submission of report on action taken against Bani Amin adjourned the hearing until May 6.
