Karachi: Altaf Hussain condemns Burns Road blast
KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader, Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the bomb blast near a party sector office located on Burns Road Karachi.

In a statement issued here, Hussain said that the militants wanted to create instability in the country by violence, bloodshed and terrorism. They were also working on a conspiracy to sabotage the peace and order before elections for depriving the MQM of their democratic and constitutional rights, he added.

MQM leader also extended sympathies to the people injured in the blast and prayed for their speedy recovery.

He demanded of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso, Interior Minister Malik Habib and the caretaker government of Sindh to take serious notice of the blast near the election office of the MQM. He called for arresting the elements behind such barbaric acts and punishing them according to law.
