ISLAMABAD: The officials of Pakistani High Commission visited Chandigarh Hospital to inquire about the condition of injured Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah Ranjha, Geo News reported Saturday.
The officials also met the doctors currently treating Sanaullah.
India granted three officials and one driver consular access to the Pakistani prisoner, who was beaten up brutally in an Indian Occupied Kashmir prison by his fellow inmate on Friday.
Pakistan has demanded that the attacker, who was also a former soldier of the Indian Army, be brought to justice.
The attack on the Pakistani prisoner came a day after convicted Indian spy Sarabjit Singh died after being bludgeoned with bricks by fellow inmates at a Pakistani prison.
Sanaullah, who is currently in critical care at a hospital in Chandigarh was imprisoned in 1999 and in 2009 sentenced to life in prison for being a Pakistani militant operating in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
