Fazl shed Pahktuns blood hand-in-hand with Zardari: Imran Khan

CHARSADDA/MARDAN: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan Saturday dropped an incendiary on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) leader, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rahman, by saying the latter had always politicized Islam to his favour, Geo News reported.

“During the last five years of their coalition government, Maulan Fazl has shed the blood of thousands of innocent Pakhtuns hand-in-hand with President Asif Zardari”, said the PTI live wire addressing a rally here.

Khan said it was he who for the first time since 9/11 had forewarned that jumping blindly into the US-led 'war on terror' would backfire, which it did big time.

“I never said it was our war as it neither was nor ever will be. Pakistan drew the fire to the peril of its people by readily becoming America’s lieutenant in this war for no reason”, said he.

Going forward, PTI spearhead said that Americans first created “mujahideen” (holy warriors) to crusade against the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) in Afghanistan and after getting their purpose served declared them terrorists.

“Back in the day they bagged big bucks to launch “mujahideen” for “Afghan Jihad” and later even bigger to martyr them. My question is who is responsible for the loss of 50, 000 lives”, said he.
