Karachi: Aurangzeb Farooqi survives attack in Korangi

KARACHI: The leader of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) and Muttahida Deeni Mahaz's (MDM) candidate for PS-128 Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqi's car was attacked with bullets in Korangi area of Karachi, Geo News reported Thursday.

According to police, Moulana Aurangzeb survived the attack, while his two police guards sustained wounds in the attack. The injured police personnel have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital.

It was the second attack on Moulana Aurangzeb Farooqi as he had escaped an attack on December 25, 2012 in the metropolis.
