KARACHI: Sindh government Wednesday allowed, under Anti-Terrorism Act, extension in additional powers to Rangers for three more months, Geo News reported.
The Provincial government has issued the notification under Section-5 of the Anti-Terrorism Act to the above effect. This will allow Rangers to continue to have additional powers to conduct raids, search operations and arrests.
It is pertinent to mention here that the earlier extension in powers given to Rangers was due to expire on May 22.
