Man allegedly burns wife in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: A woman with burn wounds was brought to the hospital in critical condition when her husband allegedly set her on fire in Faisalabad, Geo News reported Monday.

According to rescue sources, man named Muhammad Jameel burnt his wife after splashing petrol on her over a domestic issue in Madina Town area. As a result, woman named Ishrat Bibi was severely injured and was shifted to Allied Hospital in critical condition.

Doctors at Allied Hospital told that half of the victim’s body has been burnt.

Police arrested the accused after the incident and in a statement, he claimed that he did not burn his wife instead Ishrat Bibi committed the act herself.
