PESHAWAR: The skirmish between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf activists and police left three activists injured in Mardan, Geo News reported Monday.
According to details, the election tribunal rejected a plea that had been filed by PTI for re-counting of votes in National Assembly constituency NA-9.
The PTI workers staged a protest demonstration outside Returning Officer (RO) followed by the rejection of plea. Police tried to disperse the protestors after which acrimonious exchange of words led to a clash between police and workers.
The three PTI workers sustained injuries in the scuffle, while enraged protestors broke the window panes of patrolling mobile van.
