BANNU/KHUZDAR: Polling at 13 polling stations for four seats of national and provincial assemblies in Bannu, Khuzdar and South Waziristan underway to continue until 5.00 P. M. on Tuesday, Geo News reported.
On May 11 general elections, voting on three polling stations of Bannu PK-71 and on four polling stations of Bannu PK-72 was deferred due to some irregularities and re-polling is being held today on the directive of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). PK-71 total number of polling stations in the constituency counts at 60 and Pk-72 at 68.
Re-polling is underway on two polling stations of Khuzdar NA-269, as due to the absences of polling staff on these stations on May 11 voting had not taken place. Number of registered voters on both the polling stations of NA-269 tally at 1200.
While in South Waziristan, re-polling on four polling stations of the constituency NA-41 is also underway. Re-polling is being held on these four polling stations on complaints of alleged irregularities. Pakistan Army and Khasadar Force are performing the security duties on this occasion, sources said.
