Multan: Power looms Association stages protest against power outages

MULTAN: The Power Looms Association on Thursday staged a protest demonstration against the unannounced and prolonged power outages at Khooni Bridge Road, Geo News reported.

The protestors were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the electricity loadshedding. They also burned tyres to block the road for vehicular traffic and chanted slogans against the Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO).

The protestors claimed that the power looms industry has been destroyed due to the electricity loadshedding of 16 hours and thousands of daily wagers have also been rendered unemployed.

They demanded of the newly elected government to overcome the power loadshedding immediately.
