RAWALPINDI: An anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi has summoned the city police officer (CPO) Rawalpindi in Benazir Bhutto murder case Tuesday and adjourned the hearing till June 25, Geo News reported.

The ATC judge Chaudhry Habibur Rehman heard the Benazir Bhutto murder case here today. During today’s proceedings, investigating officer Khalid Rasool told the court that special public prosecutor of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is not appearing in the court due to security concerns.

He demanded foolproof security for special public prosecutor Chaudhry Azhar from Sialkot to Rawalpindi.

On this, the court questioned the authorities concerned regarding the provision of security to special public prosecutor Chaudhry Azhar.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing till June 25 and summoned CPO Rawalpindi Abdul Razzak Cheema.
