ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar on Sunday said the government has no intention to undertake privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
In a statement issued today, Ishaq Dar said the government is only looking for a strategic partner.
He said the fleet of the national flag carrier has expanded under the present government.
The Finance Minister said PIA will once again become a profitable organization.
Meanwhile, PIA action committee held an emergency meeting here today and announced to stage a protest once again against the presidential ordinance for turning PIA into a public limited company.
The PIA employees at head office and other outlets across the country will take part in the protest, sources said.
