Accused gunned down on way to court in Sargodha

SARGODHA: Unknown gunmen opened fire on two brothers when they were on their way for a court hearing in Sargodha, killing one accused on the spot, Geo News reported Monday.

According to police, two brothers and accused in a case, Ali Nawaz and Sarfaraz, were on their way to appear in court hearing when unidentified armed men ambushed them in Qasba Farqa area of Sargodha.

As a result of firing, one accused - Ali Nawaz - was killed on the spot while the other was critically injured.

After the attack, the perpetrators fled from the scene while police is conducting raids to arrest the culprits.

Police told that incident is the result of old enmity.
