Law Ministry taken away from Zahid Hamid

ISLAMABAD: The Nawaz Sharif government has changed the portfolio of its law minister Zahid Hamid, who has been facing criticism for allegedly engineering November 3, 2007 emergency during Musharraf government which led to detention of judges of higher judiciary.

He has been given the portfolio of science and technology. A section of media had reported a couple of days ago that the minister offered his party to relinquish the charge of law ministry.

The ministry of State Minister Khurram Dastagir has also been changed. Dastagir has been appointed State Minister for Privitization and a notification has been issued in this regard.
