ISLAMABAD: The ambassadors of China, Lebanon, Brunei Darussalam, Uruguay, Finland, Lithuania, Albania and Kosovo presented their credential to President Asif Ali Zardari here on Thursday.
After presenting their credentials at a special ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, the ambassadors separately called on the President and discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
The President while felicitating the newly appointed envoys, expressed the hope that they would work towards further enhancing and diversifying the already existing close ties of their respective countries with Pakistan.
Earlier, on arrival of Mrs. Moma Adnan El-Tanir, Ambassador of Lebanon, Sun Weidong, Ambassador of China, Colonel (Retd) Haji Ra’emi Maleek bin Haji Wahab, High Commissioner-designate of Brunei Darussalam, Juan Carlos Ojeda, Ambassador of Uruguay, Rauli Suikanen, Ambassador of Finland, Kestutis Kudzmanas, Ambassador of Lithuania, Genci Mucaj, Ambassador of Albania and Avni Spahiu, Ambassador of Kosovo, at the Presidency, the national anthems of Pakistan and their respective countries were played.
The envoys were also presented guard of honour by a contingent of Pakistan army.
