PPP to support govt even if Musharraf probe begins from Nov 3
ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly and Pakistan People’s Party leader Syed Khursheed Shah Friday said that his party would support the federal government even if probe against former president, General (retd) Pervez Musharraf started from November 3, Geo News reported.

Speaking in the National Assembly, Shah said that constitution was not abrogated in Nov 03 emergency. He said endorsement of October 12 steps was also revoked in the 18th amendment.

He claimed that PPP government had not reopened cases against Nawaz Sharif while he (Nawaz) had found nothing against President Zardari during 17 years.

Commenting on the appointment of Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Shah said the government had not named anyone for this slot yet and that opposition had also not been consulted. He added that PPP would consult Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on this issue.

He revealed that Secretary Law had written a letter to Pakistani ambassador to Switzerland on November 22, in which it was stated that Supreme Court, in its Nov 14 verdict, said that there was nothing in this case and that the matter would be cleared in the apex court.

Khursheed Shah questioned why the judicial murder case of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was not being taken up.
