Relief works suspended in Jalozai camp
NOWSHEHRA: United Nation’s aid agencies have suspended relief works at Jalozai camp set up for Internally displaced persons due to security concerns, Geo News reported.

According to government sources, the relief work was called off due to security concerns, while community services were also suspended at the camp.

An official of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority told Geo News that the relief activities faced closure due to terror threats.

There were 12,000 affected families living in Jalozai IDPs camp, who are provided with goods for daily use by foreign aid departments. Facilities of potable water and other community services are also provided by foreign aid.

It is pertinent to note here that a bomb had ripped through a car in Jalozai camp earlier in March, killing 18 people.
