One killed, four wounded in Khairpur rocket attack
KHAIRPUR: At least one person was killed and four more were injured in a rocket attack on a house located in Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah’s hometown, Khairpur, early on Saturday morning, Geo News reported.

The police said the assailants fired a rocket on a house in Kot Daiji near Shabani village, which killed a local landholder, Abdul Sattar Shabani, and left four other occupants wounded.

It appears to be an upshot of family feud as the folks of the injured party, belonging to "Shabani" tribe, have pinned the attack on the rival "Wasan" clan, the local cops say.

According to police, the both the parties have a long history of aggression against each other, adding the latest of the clashes between both the fighting clans was reported to have occurred about 20 days back.

"The Shabani tribesmen believe the feuding Wasans have dealt this fatal blow to settle that score", said the cops.

The deceased, Abdul Sattar, is said to be an active member of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) headed by Pir of Pagara, Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi.

Police have started investigation into the attack.
