PM Nawaz directs ministers to terminate corrupt officials

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif has ordered ministers to terminate corrupt, dishonest officials, and to ensure transparency and rule of law in their departments, Geo News reported Monday.

In a letter written to the federal ministers and secretaries, PM Nawaz Sharif stated that eliminating corruption is the government’s top priority, therefore, qualified, able and well-reputed officers should be deployed on management positions.

Furthermore, the ministries should ensure transparency and do not tolerate fraudulent officials, and instructed that such office-holders should immediately be sent packing.

PM Nawaz further instructed the ministers and secretaries to strictly follow the instructions as ineligible and corrupt officials cannot deliver better governance.
